Community Living Spaces

Designers, Artists, and Nurturers, help us make our House feel more like a home. We need your input, advice, and upkeep. Use your creative side to help update community bulletin boards to keep families informed.   Create a calm haven by arranging and updating furniture, toys and books in the communal living areas throughout the House.

Events Committee Members

Do you enjoy throwing fabulous events and securing support from the community?  Our House has an annual Gala and Golf Tournament.  If you are interested in helping us with our events, contact our Development Department - please place “New Event Committee Member” in the subject line.  We are also searching for reliable, day-of event volunteers!

Facility Committee

Handy men and women we need you to assist with the maintenance and repair of the facility.  Projects may include: light maintenance, HVAC system, plumbing, electrical systems, exterior and roof – based on licenses and experience of each committee member. The committee will work with the Business Manager to determine repairs requiring third party expertise and knowledge.

Gardening Committee

Do you have a green thumb? Help care for outside flower beds, trees, sidewalks and patio areas by planning, planting and maintaining all things green and beautiful. Check that automatic sprinklers and watering devices are properly maintained and adjusted for seasonal needs.

Guest Room Committee

Help create a comfortable and individualized experience for the families that stay at the House. Stock guest supply closets, insure that bedding meets current family needs, identify required repairs in each guest room, insure that lights and fixtures are in good order, and check A/V units are functioning properly. You will also be encouraged to submit recommendations for possible room upgrades.

House Supplies Committee

If you like to organize and be hands-on this committee is for you!  Keep basement area backstock organized.  During the holiday season, instruct volunteers on which decorations will be featured. Properly label and store decorations and supplies when not in use.  Stock the Coke machine on a weekly basis.

Information Technology Committee

Techies needed!! Use your computer skills to maintain and update our three guest computers, wireless system and WUFOO referral system.

Kitchen Committee

The kitchen is a beloved gathering spot for many families.  Help maintain the heart of our home by consolidating leftovers, replenishing condiments, arranging food storage areas and implementing sanitary food storing practices. Ensure that volunteer meal providers have the necessary supplies to prepare dinner. Review waste disposal and recycling practices to improve our current procedures. We look forward to your suggestions on improvements to make the workspace more efficient for families.

Playroom Committee

Would you enjoy creating a safe, friendly space for children to thrive? If so, we’d welcome you on our Playroom Committee.  Help arrange and sanitize our playroom and patio area.  Make sure children can access age appropriate toys, make recommendations for new toys, retire old toys and help remove possible choking hazards.
