Ronald McDonald House of San Francisco
When families stay close to their hospitalized child, the child heals quicker and the family copes better. The Ronald McDonald House works to keep families rested, healthy, strong and pulling together during their time of need.
For over 24 years, the Ronald McDonald House of San Francisco has been offering comfortable, temporary lodging and supportive services to families with critically ill children. Guests are provided with a comfortable bedroom, warm meals, laundry facilities and all the essentials amenities of home. We offer convenient access to the basic necessities of life so that families can focus on dealing with their child’s illness or injury. Families with a hospitalized child being treated at a San Francisco medical facility and coming from over 50 miles away are eligible to stay at the House.
The House, located at 1640 Scott Street, has ten rooms available and offers a soothing home-like environment. Facilities include a great room, communal kitchen, volunteer prepared meals, organized activities, outdoor patios, child’s playroom, laundry room and computers with internet access on every floor. Most important, at the House families, staff and volunteers get to know each other, building a support network to help them through this challenging time.
